The New haven Teachers Association (NHTA) was established to ensure that the rights of the most valuable professionals, teachers, are protected. NHTA is an affiliate of the California Teachers Association (CTA) and the National Education Association (NEA). By being part of the local, state and national conversations of education issues, NHTA is current on all the challenges and changes that impact service in public education.
Latino Heritage Month Resolution 003-1819
Recognizing diversity and the contributions of marginalized peoples and communities enhances the awareness and understanding of those not traditionally recognized in education. In an efforts to raise that awareness, The New Haven Board of Education passed the Latino Heritage Month Sept 15 to October 15. Although we encourage this recognition and understanding throughout the year, we hope that you take this time to highlight the important contributions of our Latino communities.
